2024 Chevrolet Equinox EV details released by GM

In the next few years, Chevrolet plans to launch a number of new electric vehicles. An electric version of Chevrolet’s Blazer midsize SUV will be available by 2024, along with an electric Silverado. The compact Chevrolet Equinox SUV will also be available in an electric version in 2024. Here is what we know so far about the 2024 Chevy Equinox EV based on information provided recently by Chevrolet.

The 2024 Equinox EV will have the new GM Ultium platform as its starting point

GM Ultium technology, General Motors’ advanced electric vehicle architecture, will likely power the 2024 Chevrolet Equinox EV. GM Ultium’s platform offers one of the longest all-electric ranges and very quick charging, making it one of the most advanced in the world. With the GM Ultium platform, electric vehicles can charge at up to 350 kW, providing 160 kilometers of range in ten minutes and a full charge in less than 30 minutes. Whether the Equinox EV will feature the 400-volt version of this platform is unknown, but what is certain is that it will have a lot of range and charging capabilities. Official numbers are still not available, but we expect to see over 400 kilometres of total range.

GM released an image of the upcoming 2024 Chevy Equinox EV recently as well as a video showing the new interior. Despite the fact that we only see the vehicle from the side, we know it will resemble a traditional car but will have exclusive electric features. Equinox EV, like the Silverado EV and the Blazer EV, is expected to have a bold and sporty design without compromising interior space.

In terms of price, again few details are available. However, Chevrolet hinted in the past that the 2024 Chevrolet Equinox EV would start at $37,250, which would make it one of the most affordable electric vehicles on the market.

We should get more details on the 2024 Chevrolet Equinox EV this year.
